To start this LONGstory.... I have a 2002 Chevy Tracker with almost 100,000 miles on it......

So, 1 week ago today, I take my car in because I notice my A/Cisnapos;t working, and a few other things... $450 later...
Didnapos;t need my A/C till Monday, at which time I find out the repair WASNapos;T complete, because I had no air again.
Called and made appointment to bring it in this AM(Friday)......

Got up at 7AM, and drove the car to the dealership, and walked home. ONLYreason I bought the car at this particular dealership, WASthat I didnapos;t have to stay at the dealership while the repair was taking place... Could just walk home in 5 minutes. *Nice*
(Thereapos;s another story behind that too.... But it would take a while to write....) :(

Came back home, and did the usual routine of the beginning of the day.....

Got a call 4 hours later... (11:30ish)
"The extended warranty company WILLNOTcover the repairs need to be done that we MISSEDlast week, because itapos;s a $325 HOSE, and hoses are not covered in your extended warranty. The part will take a week to get in and will cost $400+ to install test."

"WHAT?WTF? HOLYCRAP G*D D*MN warranty company WTFare they good for, for the amount I spend on the coverage "
I was swearing up a storm after I hung up with the service adviser, after saying "Forget it for now, Iapos;ll live with the VENT, and fry."

When I called the warrenty company to ask why, the guy (in Huntsville, Alabama), said that there was NOTHINGthey could do, cause the
warrenty doesnapos;t cover hoses.... Ialmost swore at him, but I kept my cool on the phone, even though I wanted to reach through it and strangle the S.O.B.
SO... The ONEsaving grace the Alabama guy gave me, was "Why not see if the hose can be REPAIRED? We got places like that up here."

Iwalked back to the dealership, and when I got there, the service advisor said....
"Hey, one of our techs knows of a place that repairs hoses, and we can send it to them, and have it repaired for probably $100 total.
Or there is a possibility some salvage yard in the area might have it. You could call around."

Ireplied, "Great, thatapos;s what I was going to suggest to you, cause thatapos;s what the warranty guy suggested."

So we made arrangements for me to drop off the car NEXTfriday (the day before Elliotapos;s Party), and I sighed, thinking apos;rental carapos;.

Igot home, and got online and did a search on salvage yards in Orlando, and started calling around.

Got a apos;biteapos; on one place that said "We have a apos;99 Tracker, if you want to come and see if it has what you need....
Idrove there, praying all the way that this would work out, and the drive would be worth it....

Long story short, Iapos;ve NEVERshopped in a salvage yard, and LUCKILY the old P.O.S. DIDhave the hose that the dealership needed,
and several of the techs at the dealership said it was the right one, and would work perfectly. .... $25 at the salvage yard

SO as of this post, itapos;s still in the shop getting worked on, and I HOPE they finish it today.

Thereapos;s more to the story, but these are the highlights

Moral of this post is be careful what you pay for on warrenties Theyapos;ll F* you in the drive thru
If all goes well, Iwalk with a bill of $500 instead of over $800.... BUTSTILL, Iwant to scream terrible things about my warrenty company

The next time you decide to choke, if you could be so kind as to send me an email or something so that I donapos;t waste my time listening to your lousiness, Iapos;d be much obliged. I guess I shouldnapos;t be too surprised. I mean, we had some really near misses, and there were some troubling signs with the team--signs I was doing my best to ignore. Thatapos;s what I get for deluding myself.

And I threw my back out, too. So Iapos;m in a very grumbly mood this morning. Go read someone elseapos;s blog. Trust me--you donapos;t want to listen to me anymore. Hopefully things look brighter on Monday.

About two days ago, Iwas released from Rehab, it took me forever to get out of there. The reason Iwas there?Iapos;ll admit it openly. Ihave an eating disorder. Iapos;m proud of it, Iapos;m not ashamed nor do Iwant to fix it. Iwas forced in to rehab from the hospital after collasping and the steroids Iwas given nearly made me gain 60lbs.

Iused to be the perfect thin weight. Now Iapos;m this fat person and Ineed help.

30 days to a wedding and I want to go down a few sizes before Iapos;m forced to stand up there with a fake smile on my face and take pictures.

Iapos;m going to do anything Ican to be thin again. This is my journal for it.

The winds of change blow through our life, sometimes gently, sometimes like a tropical storm.

But change is inevitable, and desirable.

Sometimes, when the winds of change begin to rustle, weapos;re not certain the change is for the better. We may call it stress or a temporary condition. Sometimes, we resist. Hoping that things will quickly calm down, get back to the way things were. Is it possible weapos;re being prepared for a new "normal?"

Change will sweep through our life, as needed, to take us where weapos;re going. We can trust that our Higher Power has a plan in mind, even when we donapos;t know where the changes are leading.

Hereapos;s whatapos;s up with the divorcees...
Theyapos;re both miserable.
I still have to talk mom through tearful fits of depression.
And dads not much better.
Theyapos;ve discovered that neither of them have enough money apart to keep the house, so they will both be couch surfing pretty soon here. Yay for legally homeless parents. I do think itapos;s kind of funny that my parents and I will be in pretty much the same situation financially and in regards to living situation...I may even be better off. Priceless.
Dad talked to his best friend Dean about the divorce. Dean said:
Well, you know it struck me as odd, when you guys started going out, you were talking about Cindy and you didnapos;t say anything except apos;we both want to have kidsapos; You didnapos;t tell me about her personality or what you had in common other than kids.
Mom talked to her best friend Lyn. Lyn said:
Iapos;ve always thought you could do better than David.
I guess everyone saw this coming except me and mom.
The whole thing is just a mess, remind me never to get married.

I canapos;t believe my work paid for such a crappy cultural understanding workshop.. We played some weird card game in groups and made comments how it was like being from a different culture... The teacher miss understood what I said and thought we were having a bonding moment....

So, this is the third workshop on this... Yet we really need a training on negotiating and communicating with our clients a bit crazy (no matter what culture they came from).

And we had to lose time seeing clients to take the workshop.
